The most wonderful time of the year...

Christmas is definitely the most wonderful time of the year, with delicious food a plenty, the excuse to buy your loved ones gorgeous presents, scrumptious hot chocolate in cute little Christmas cups and so much glitter that you’ll feel like a real life fairy. However it can also be a pretty stressful time when you have no idea what to buy that person who already has everything and a last minute panic when you can’t find anything to wear for your work Christmas do, which always feels ten times worse in the Christmas crowds!

To keep your Christmas spirit alive and kicking I’ve put together a little guide for your go-to presents (all under £15!) and a simple but sparkly party outfit to take the stress out of Christmas for you J

Every girl needs one of those ‘all-rounder’ eye shadow palettes that is simple to use and can easily take you from day to night by popping a darker shade through the crease of your eye, and this L’Oreal ‘La Palette Nude’ palette definitely ticks every box. It looks very classy and high-end in its simple black and gold packaging, and it also comes with a handy little brush, which can be used for both applying and blending. I’m sure any lady would be thrilled to receive this. Boots are currently giving you a free gift when you spend £14.99 or more on L’oreal makeup which features a full size mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and nail polish so you’re basically getting two presents for the price of one - always a bonus at this time of year!

Lush products always smell sensational and feel like you’re having a pamper fit for a spa, so their range of gift sets make the perfect option if you’re unsure what to buy someone (who can resist that gorgeous smell?!)

You get a soap, shower gel and shower jelly in this set, which all smell like citrus and the packaging glows in the dark so is sure to catch everyone’s attention under the Christmas tree! Another lovely smelling option is this perfume from Next, it’s a 100ml bottle so is a bargain for £14 and the sparkly silver packaging is perfect for Christmas.

This time of year is all about feeling cosy and snuggled so pretty slipper boots like these £6 purple ones from Primark are perfect (above) - and how cute is the unicorn 'hottie' hot water bottle from Dorothy Perkins!? I really love these because you warm them by popping them in the microwave rather than having to worry about hot water, so they'll be brilliant for the younger members of your family :)

Festive Christmas jumpers have soared in popularity over the past few years and they're such a fun gift to choose and wear; I really love this candy cane one from Select as it's a cute but safe option that any lady is bound to love.

When in doubt for Christmas party wear I always go for red and glitter; you just can’t go wrong with them this time of year and are sure to look perfectly festive. Skater dresses are great for Christmas parties because they’re so comfortable and flattering to wear (you won’t even have to feel guilty about having that extra mince pie!). I really love this one from Select as it comes with a necklace so you don’t have to worry about finding matching jewellery. When wearing two dark colours together it’s really important to go for textured fabrics so that the colours don’t look too draining and manage to stand out from each other. Wearing a glittery nail polish that has different colours in the glitter makes the outfit more fun and is bound to get you lots of compliments, then just pop on some sparkly heels and a spangly clutch bag and you’ll be ready to dance the night away to all of those old Christmas favourites!

Merry Christmas!
